Beklens in Cordova Bay Nov. 19,2010

We trekked out on our usual Friday night evening and wondered down to
lovely Cordova Bay to a Restaurant called Beklens.
Red had a combination Pork Rib and Sirloin Steak Dinner (which he usually never orders but the menu did offered any other meat cuts other than the Prime Rib Dinner Special) and asked for the vegetables to be well done/steamed and french fries in stead of Parmesan mashed or Yukon Potatoes.

I ordered Nachos my favorite Friday night 'Treat' I should have been tipped off at the fact the menu did not offer guacamole as an extra just sour cream and salsa.  That would have been okay if the nachos were outstanding but they were less than 'not very good'.  It was a treasure hunt for the cheese and any extra garnish that one would expect for $12. ish they came on a square plate!  "There's a clue in itself!"
...and I have received larger portions in other restaurants for that price.

As for Red's dinner the meat was not too bad, the sirloin was cooked incredibly well for that cut, the waiter said he would make sure the vegetables were well done but of course then arrived hard as a rock, the french fries were frozen.
I did mentioned the lack of cheese and generally tasting very bland and the waiter offered a free dessert.
Even the dessert was not as was described.
The waiter was very polite.
